Platys Gialos Hotel is one of the oldest hotels on the Island of Sifnos, right in the heart of Cyclades.

In the past, several local artists used to stay there. Actually, you can still see some of their crafts or artworks that have been decorating the hotel until today.

Platys Gialos Hotel is not for those seeking the ultra-luxury experience and it is not for those who are looking for a grand resort or a prestigious beach club. Platys Gialos Hotel is for those looking for an old fashioned serenity or genuineness.

There is something about this hotel. You can feel its history. A combination of old and new, traditional and contemporary gives you immediately a welcoming feeling.

You can flip through old photo albums; check out wooden crafts hand-picked carefully by the hotel stuff or have a cold beer with the hotel owner on the beautiful terrace overlooking the Aegean Sea.

It is not perfect but imperfection is what makes it special. And above all, it also feels like home! The rooms are not huge but they have all you need including little balconies or terraces with great views and they are literally located only a few steps away from the beach.

The view is just magnificent at any time of the day! However, the view of the full moon on a summer night, in combination with the relaxing sound of the waves, definitely makes Platys Gialos Hotel a memorable romantic experience.   

The hotel is located on the beach of Platys Gialos next to many ‘tavernas’ (the Greek word for traditional restaurant) and near 'Omega3’, the only ceviche place on this island and a real paradise for all ceviche lovers.
