MY FAVOURITE SUNSET

PLACES

They say that falling in love is easy at sunset. They also say that sunsets are for dreamers. I don’t know what is true. All I know is that only a few things can be compared to a truly scenic sunset. So if you are a ‘lover’ or a 'dreamer’ or if you are simply looking for the perfect place to enjoy a beautiful sunset, keep these places in mind because these are my favourite sunset spots so far –  I hope I will discover more in the future!

Isla Palenque, Panama. This might be the ideal sunset place for all the tropical lovers or complete tranquillity seekers. When the sun sets over the Pacific Ocean, you feel like a castaway on a remote island. Although I would love to describe this feeling to all of you, it is one of these things that can’t be described in words.

Mexilhoeira Beach, Portugal. Sunsets here could be part of a romantic movie for sure! Imagine sand dunes, ocean views and wild flower fields. Now add different shades of red, purple, orange and yellow. On top of that imagine a light wind blowing through your hair. It does sound like a romance novel, no? Well it is not. This is simply how sunsets are at Mexilhoeira!

Lepitsa beach, Peloponnese, Greece. At a first glance, there is nothing special about this place. It looks like another beautiful Greek beach with a few tourists and a conveniently located fish restaurant. However, ending the day on the beach with a sky full of colours can be priceless and extraordinarily captivating. So take some time to admire the sunset at Lepitsa beach. Most probably, it will be one of the most colourful sunsets you have ever seen.

London, United Kingdom. I know that most of you would not even think about London when it comes to beautiful sunsets. But you might want to rethink about it. Yea, London is gray most of the time but if there is a specific time of the day that is magically beautiful then this is by far sunset time. The sky seems to be properly on fire and no matter if you are at the top of the tallest building of the city, in the office, outside a pub or just walking down the street, and no matter how busy you are or where you are, you will definitely pause for a few seconds to admire the beautiful sky above one of the most busy cities of the world.

Tuscany, Italy. Tuscany is for sure one of the most beautiful regions of the world so no wonder why sunsets there are special too. But what about admiring the sun setting over the hundreds of hills and vineyards while enjoying a nice glass of wine?

Ras Al Khaimah Desert, UAE. There is no doubt that the best time to visit the desert is around sunset time. This is when this beautiful terracotta desert becomes even more impressive. The colours are so intense and the vibe is so unique that even camels seem to be extremely happier around that time of the day!

Esmeralda beach, Guardalavaca, Cuba. Who said that cloudy sunsets can’t be beautiful? There is an unexplained magic tension in the air when you walk on the hot white sand looking at the sunbeams shining through the dark fluffy clouds. It’s a sunset for those who know to appreciate the unusual things in life, for those who know that a beautiful sunset doesn’t necessarily need to be a sky-on-fire sunset. It might be the gray ones that are the most interesting after all.

It doesn’t matter which place we eventually choose in order to admire a sunset. It doesn’t matter if we choose to do it alone, with a group of friends or loved ones. And it doesn’t even matter if the sky is clear or cloudy. No matter what, sunsets will always be beautiful!
